Guardian Quiet Source Model # Help

I am in the process of buying a 16KW Guardian Quiet Source generator and I found a private owner selling one he does not need anymore at a discounted price. He gave me the model number OF9145, originally purchased in November 2006 (SN starts with 7932XXX) at home depot. My problem is that I can not find this model number anywhere online to pull the specs to assure I know what I am buying. Does anyone know if this model number is correct and how it maps to the other generac model numbers I have seen online? Thanks for your feedback.

Hello.
"OF9145" is not a generator model number, however it is the model number for the engine. He is looking at the wrong name plate under the hood. That number just resolves to a 992CC Guardian V-Twin.

Have him open the lid, and look on the engine side of the engine/battery divider. You will see a nameplate.

The 16kw generators are only badged right now under two different model numbers:

005243-? = 16kw Quietsource with steel enclosure
005244-? = 16kw Quietsource with aluminum enclosure.

The question marks are revisions, A genset made in november will have a -0.

Make sure you change the oil as soon as you get it! Most people choose not to do the first mandatory oil change at 8 hours. :)

I took care of this guy via Email, his generator matched the info he was giving from the private party seller, and it didn't have any warranty claims on it!
