This will cover Guardian generators with 992cc engines. 5243, 5244, 5242, and 5416 models. (also 5284, 5283, 5384, and 5417) These are the new 13kw, 16kw and 18kw guardian generators
Your generator will come ready to run on natural gas. The conversion to propane is very easy, and only takes a few minutes. The instruction manual isn't very clear on the steps, so I will post some photos.
#1.
Open the lid, and remove both thumb screws on the air box.

#2
After you remove the air cleaner cover, remove the filter and pre-filter. They lift up and out.

#3
This shows the generator setting how it comes out of the box. Notice the little switch towards the air intake. This is the natural gas position.

#4
The switch moves up, or away from you. Now you can see it in the propane position.

After the switch has been pushed to the LP position, you are done! Put the air filters back in, and put the cover on, and fire it up!
