Kelly,

Bought a 16KW unit from Ziller last week. Hope you might consider us for the free filter offer (hint, hint), but right now we'd just like to know where the flex hose is hidden? Only place we haven't looked yet is in the battery compartment. Can't see it in there unless it's a lot smaller than the one that came with my 4390. The last name of my neighbor who bought from Ziller is Weaver Zip code 46383- bought last week. Thanks Kelly

Mine was in the plastic bag that contained the owner's manual, which was taped to the floor of the enclosure under the engine.

Jason,

Thanks for the answer on where yours was located. Ours was definitely not in the bag. I will remove the two screws in the front panel and verify that it is not in the battery compartment taped in the back somewhere. Otherwise, I guess Ziller can send use one and then fill the same box with 10 filters! Sounds like a plan to me. Whatdaya think Jas? Maybe this is how Ziller increases their margins:D

All of our gas hoses are zip tied to the negative battery wire. Use a 5/16th nutdriver/socket to remove the two front door screws, remove the door, and there you go. :D

I suppose that means I should stop waiting for the big brown truck to show up with those filters???

If you thought that was bad, look at my front page now.

I wish I had known this rebate offer was going to be a go, I would have told my customers for the last two weeks. :(

I'm slow Kelly. What's on your front page? Did Ziller put the Kabosh on the offer? I'm trying to help a 4390 owner in Fla. with mis-diagnosis by tech of bad control board for a "no output condition". He paid the tech $95, me $150 for a control board he was told would cure his problem, and he found his warrantee card in with the stuff the electric company left him after installing the generator. I don't believe florida electric is a Generac dealer! Here we go again. I'm working with him as you did me. He has the manual, sent his card in, and is at step one- field exciter voltage. How did I do?

Kelly prodigy at age 53...Damn!

Yeah, thats kind of annoying. I just got my generator yesterday, and missed out on the filters and the rebate.

Kelly,Kelly, Kelly....you guys always get advance notice of promotions-but, I can't blame you for having to keep it to yourself or Oct. sales would tank. And there is confidentiality and all that stuff. You have to draw the line somewhere and Generac isn't going to make Ziller whole in advance of the start date.

B-U-T, you could make the filter deal happen as that IS within Ziller's purvey!
Come on Kelly, put a little oitment on that sting I have from biting through my lip! We could start a nasty rumor that ziller bought 10,000 cheap, under-sized filters from China with lead paint on 'em... I always lick the o-rings
before I spin 'em on and my brain can't afford any more cells dying off. Hell, I might grow a third eye or sumpin'. You can't take those filters with ya' young fella. Come on, cut some loose for those who have made you forum moderator of the year.:D

Actually, If you notice when I was posting on the forums last night, it was when I received word of the rebate offer at 5:13pm, and I stayed at work to change all the signage and ads all over the internet. Took me about 5 hours!

Heres the problem, if we average 34 generator sales a day, how many free oil filters would I end up giving out? lol. If I do it for one, then I will have to do it for all.

If you purchase ONE oil filter through my website. I'll throw in an extra 9.

Just make sure you note to "see kelly" on the oil filter purchase.

OK, I just ordered 1 oil filter, but didn't see a spot to make a note. I sent an email and also this note here. Order #2665. Thanks Kelly.
