I hope that you will be able to help me through a very frustrating past 5 months!

My Generac is a 20KW 1.6 240 1P ST Guardian

SN: 4517*** Model Number: 0053360 Manufactured 9/05/06 Purchased through Home Depot, Installed by authorized installer contracted by Home Depot.

PROBLEM: After installation, tested fine, set to run exercise on Weds @ 12:00 noon. Appeared to do it's thing, went away for the winter, returned in May, shortly thereafter I noticed that it didn't go through it's exercise on Weds like scheduled. Found the battery to be dead (somehow I must have unpluged) the charger cord in the Spring. Disconnected the battery from the Generator and charged it. Reconnected and then tried to start. All it would do is fire but then wouldn't run. Tried several times and then called Home Depot. They dispatched original installer to trouble shoot!

Since then he has been out more times than I would like to remember. Spent many hours on the phone with Generac and performed every test they suggested. Even to the extent of replacing just about every component that could be replaceable including the Control Board twice. The Propane pressure is at 11 inches, has spark, replaced the line regulator coming from the tank, but still it won't start!

All it does is just momentarily start "BURP". I will order a Dealer Service Manual from you for future events. Any additional information that I could supply I will gladly do so. That will be limited since I was not present at each and every session. If it would help in solving my problem I will supply the installer/servicemans name and cell # upon request.

Thanking you in advance for your help.

Since this generator is under warranty, I will simply have a tech come out there and take a look. Please call me at 1-888-2-ZILLER during business hours (7am-5pmEST) and we can put you in touch with a quality company.

After it is fixed, It would be great if you can post up what was found wrong for future reference.

Things I would check, is WC" AFTER the regulator, and making sure the generator is switched to the propane position via the dipswitch. This adjusts timing for the hotter burning propane.

Burps normally mean timing is off.
