Purchased a 16kw generator from one of your competitors. I wish I had found you earlier!

The generator wouldn't run. Its a 5244 16,000W aluminum. I called the internet company I purchased it from, and talk about shitty customer service. They gave me a dealer list. Both dealers I called said they wouldn't help me because I didn't buy it from them.

I was so frustrated, and I called guardian. They told me to call Ziller. I thought this was odd, since they knew I had purchased it at northern tool.

I informed the tech at Zillers that I had purchased it from northern tool, but they still walked me through the troubleshooting. It ended up that I had blown a fuse, and that is why my generator wouldn't not run. 10 minutes on the phone, and a $4.00 fuse that just arrived in the mail, and I'm up and running.

Thanks again for your help, and I will be calling you when I need oil filters.

Glad to hear you figured out your issue.

We get calls a lot about generators running when they're in the auto position. This is usually attributed to an installation error that shorted N1 or N2, and they burned up one of the cheap little glass fueses that protect the circuit.
