Kelly,

Now that my stator is safe in the hands of Current Electric, the Generac Elite dealer who is working on my unit, what happens next? My unit is under warrantee and the dealer has claimed the stator "shot" and they took the old stator back to their shop. Will Generac send thema replacement without having the old one back yet or will they wait until they receive the defective part before they send out the new one. The reason I ask is that my dealer is so busy he might not get to sending it back for another month! My voltage regulator tested bad as well, but we opted to get the stator in first before casting our final vote on it as well. If they drag their heels too long, my warrantee will be up!

Just curious on if they can get the new stator before the old one is back at Generac.

Heres the process on the dealer end..

1. Tech finds part that is not working.
2. If part exceedes x amount of dollars, we call in and get a control number, and a generac tech will consult with my techs to see if they agree on the problem.
3. We order the new part.
4. We fix the problem with the new part.
5. We mail in the signed warranty form (with yours and my signature) along with the part to generac's warranty division.
6. We get reimbursed.

On something like a stator, don't think its a next day thing. They come shipped on a pallet, and they don't always have them. I've had to wait for bigger non/common faulted parts for a week or so.
